Summary:
This shape activity is one that preschoolers love, and it only takes a minute to put it together. To set up the activity, I drew four shapes on paper. I handed Jonathan a felt cookie from our play food stash to get him started. “What shape is this?” I asked. He thought about it a minute and said, “Cookie!” It was interesting to me that he didn’t say circle, and apparently this was a good activity for him! After the cookie, he got the idea and started looking for things to match up with his shapes.
