Outline Letters With Snacks

Materials:
Items likely found at home
Summary:
If your child has a snack with lots of pieces such as cereal or crackers, they can easily use their snack to outline letters! I would start with the letters in your child’s name and work from there. They can outline on top of the large letters I included in the free activity packet (found at the end of the post), or they can use the letters as a model and build on the table! My two year-old even thinks it’s pretty neat when she can write the letter “L” with her cereal!

Summary:
This activity, Letter Tile Names, is a colorful activity designed to formally help children to recognize the letters of their names. I like that this activity provides a lot of repetition, but in an interesting way. While it took my preschoolers a good fifteen to twenty minutes to complete the activity, they all remained interested for the duration.

Summary:
This simple activity is amazing! My kids loved it, I loved it, we all loved it! Best of all, when kids do an activity such as this, it’s hands on learning. They improve so many important skills and learn new ones. Tracing requires hand-eye coordination, focus and the use of fine/small motor skills. With this activity preschoolers (and even toddlers) can learn the colors and numbers in a fun way too!
