Summary:

After what felt like the longest winter ever, we’re finally starting to see birds return to our neighborhood. In our part of the country, we see lots of robins, cardinals, and occasionally blue jays, all of which have their unique color patterns. That gave me an idea for a fun bird color matching activity for kids! Right in time for spring! This is a perfect quick learning activity for little ones. You’ll only need a couple of supplies and you can prep it in less than five minutes!

Summary:

Nonetheless, I shared the activity for all those lucky ones that might have the blocks tucked away in their closet. Here’s a picture of what the activity looks like. It’s SO easy to prep. I just took a sharpie marker and wrote the letters right on the blocks. I made a recording sheet to go with the activity. I want my students to write the words that they worked on.

Kindergarten is a huge milestone in your child’s life (and yours). Whether they have been at home, attending preschool, or at daycare, it’s a big transition. There will be a lot of new experiences and learning. We want our little ones to have a smooth, successful transition.

There are a few things that you can do know to prepare your child for the Transition to Kindergarten. One of those is reviewing kindergarten readiness skills. You can read about other ways here. This Ready for Kindergarten Bingo is a great tool to help you work on some of those skills your child will need before starting kindergarten or while in kindergarten.

DIY Double Entry Logic Puzzle

Best for Ages:

+4

Materials:

Printables and items likely found at home

Summary:

After simple color matching and dice number and many such activities, we tried a logic game with a double entry matrix for the first time with my 30 months toddler. This was a great start to a little complicated puzzle but it turned out really well. This has inspired me to introduce more of such puzzles. This double entry matrix needs to match the color and the number on the dice at the same time.
