Ideas for Preschool Flower Theme Worksheets

Summer is here! The sun is out, the bees are buzzing and the flowers are blossoming. So we thought we'd be inspired by nature and create some preschool flower theme worksheets that focused on tracing and size comparisons. In each case, your preschooler can practice their hand-eye coordination by tracing all the traceable elements on the sheets.

Size Comparison worksheet: Here your preschooler will compare two different flowers with shapes of different sizes. They will color the flower with the larger shape. Depending on their age and skill level, you can have them trace out the shapes in the flower first.

Flower Tracing: This printable aims to continue their tracing practice. We are developing a habit that will later move into letter trace and then letter writing. Depending on their age, they can trace out the word flower as well and then finish up by coloring their flower. You might ask them:

  • "Which shape is bigger? Which circle is bigger? Which is smaller?"
  • "Can you point to the flower that has the bigger shape?"
  • "Can you color the flower with the bigger shape?"

Try this:

  • Trace the flower with your finger. Now trace it with a crayon.
  • Trace the letters to the words "Flower".
  • Color the flower using three different colors.
